NOTICE- MEETING CANCELLED Due to the bad weather coming this evening we have decided to cancel the COBA meetings tonight. We schedule the room 18 months in advance so the meeting will not be rescheduled and we will meet next in June. Please pass the word to others. I know some that are at their first year mark in beekeeping were looking forward to attending and seeing the presentation tonight on adding honey supers. We are working on some information to share via Facebook live this evening and answer questions you might have in regards to supering your hives. We will plan to do this at 7:00 this evening so have your questions ready. Facebook live can be sketchy to get going at times so if it doesn’t work this evening we may try something else like posting your questions on COBA Facebook or whatever plan B we come up with. Right now is the time to be adding supers and we want to make sure that anyone who has questions get them answered and not miss this valuable opportunity.

2021-05-27 COBA May Meeting
From Tom Hall, 2021 COBA President:
You are invited to join us for our monthly COBA meeting.
Rick Schantz will be presenting on adding honey supers to your hive for the upcoming nectar flow.
Tom HallI will have a short presentation on how to protect ourselves against ticks and how to make a solar wax melter.
We’ve been running the meetings a little late and it seems like after we are done with our presentations people have been enjoying the time after the presentation to meet each other and talk bees but we don’t have much time for it with having to break down tables and wrap up so I plan to have the presentations done about 8:15 to give us more time to meet and help one another with bee questions.
There have been some changes to the Will Rogers’s COVID policy noted below:
Will Rogers has had some recent groups meet there that have been very rude about the COVID policy and they have had staff quit over some altercations and groups have been banned from meeting at Will Rogers because of these altercations. I assured them that we would honor their very minor restrictions and be polite to the staff.
Please read the COVID policy below to determine if it is agreeable with you before attending and thank you for your understanding.
See meeting details below:
This Thursday, May 27 from 7-9pm we will have our monthly COBA meeting at Will Rogers Gardens at 3400 NW 36th Oklahoma City. The meeting is open to all.
COVID precautious: Your forehead temperature will be taken at the door. A recent change to their mask policy is we are required to wear a mask outside of the meeting room but within the room we don’t have to wear a mask. Feel free to wear a mask or not within the meeting room. We will still be wiping down tables with disinfectant and space the tables for social distancing, but families and friends may sit together as desired.
For those not able to join us we plan to broadcast the presentation part of the meeting on Facebook live. No promises on the Facebook live as we have had some problems at past meeting getting Facebook live up and going but hopefully this time we can get it going ahead of time.
See you there!
